Quentin Willson takes an exclusive look at Altilium’s cutting edge recycling technology
Altilium were pleased to welcome award-winning motoring broadcaster and transport campaigner Quentin Willson for a tour of our cutting edge EV Battery Recycling Centre in Tavistock last month.
As an EV enthusiast and founder of the Fair Charge campaign, Quentin was excited to learn about Altilium’s pioneering battery recycling technology, which can help to reduce the costs of new EVs and lower the carbon footprint of battery production by over 50%, compared to virgin mined materials.
In this short film shot at the facility, Quentin dispels some of the myths surrounding what happens to end-of-life EV batteries as he speaks to Altilium’s senior leadership team about their vision to develop a circular economy for low carbon battery materials.
With exclusive access to Altilium’s R&D labs, the film takes an in-depth look at the process of transforming battery waste into new cathode active materials for reuse in the next generation of high performance batteries.
